The Model Parliament of Canada would help individuals develop the skills and training that they need to become effective elected officials at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels of government. The purpose of the project is to encourage more Canadians of all ages, and from all regions and backgrounds, to seriously consider entering public life. This includes aspiring politicians as well as those who have never before considered running for public office. The Model Parliament of Canada would also function as a laboratory for experiments in parliamentary procedure and reform.
